"AMERICA AND HER CHILDREN: ABORTION
IN THE 90'S" - 80 min/Adult
Christian talk-show host John Ankerberg presents a highly informative five-part "documentary style" discussion of abortion. Part I deals with the very different stories of three women facing unplanned pregnancies. Part II examines the various methods of birth control available and clarifies which ones are potentially abortive. Part III presents six Biblical principles which clearly disallow abortion and affirm the sanctity of unborn life. Part IV addresses in great detail the history of the Roe V. Wade decision and its aftermath. In conclusion, Ankerberg challenges individuals and churches to become involved in the abortion crisis and presents six strategies for action. |

"ASSIGNMENT LIFE" - 50 min/Jr. High
to Adult
A powerful film exposing the abortion industry in America, "Assignment Life" follows an investigative reporter as she explores the impact of abortion. Pro-abortion doctors, "family planning directors", Congressman Henry Hyde, Dr. James Dobson, Dr. Jack Wilkie, and others are interviewed. The film shows actual abortions and a live birth. |
"DEAR CHILDREN" - 30 min - Jr. High to Adult
This is the story of "Michelle" and six other women who are struggling to recover from "Post Abortion Syndrome" (PAS). It presents an aspect of abortion never discussed by "pro-choice" activists... the suffering and grief of women who have had abortions. "Michelle", for example, felt that she was damned because of her actions, turned away from God and began to intentionally destroy herself. The others in the video are people who also thought that abortion was the easy way out, but found that they were wrong. They only found peace when they cried out to God for forgiveness. |
"HARD TRUTH" - 10 min - Jr. High to Adult
This film is largely pictures without narration--pictures of aborted babies from the first through the third trimester of pregnancy. Many of them were taken from the garbage bags outside of an abortion clinic in Houston, Texas. The film also includes actual pictures of police savagely manhandling abortion protesters. In his introduction, Gregg Cunningham of the Center for Bio-Ethical Reforms says that the film should cause people to realize that something which is too horrifying to look at should not be
tolerated! |

"NO ALIBIS" - 38 min - Jr. High to Adult
A fast-paced drama designed especially for teenage audiences, "No Alibis" includes a brief music video on abortion which may be too contemporary for some audiences. It, however, is an excellent presentation of the facts against abortion by teens themselves as we see how abortion touches the lives of the three main characters. |

"NO EASY WAY OUT" - 20 min - Jr. High to Adult
"The easy way out!" is often the cry of a teen who has had an abortion. This video tells the story of several who have found that there is "no easy way out". It begins with the scenario of a pregnant teen whose boyfriend and girl friends all advise abortion. Her boyfriend gets the
money and takes her to an abortion clinic. After the abortion she soon becomes pregnant again, and this time decides to carry the baby to term and then give it up for adoption. After she does this the healing of her life begins, and she goes on to college. The story is interspersed with testimonies of other teens who have been affected by abortion. Also presented are some very interesting facts concerning abortion. One of the things it points out is that of the 1.6 million abortions in the U.S. each year 43% are repeat abortions: (430,000 second abortions, 171,000 third and 85,000 fourth or beyond). |

"NO SECOND CHANCE" - 30 min - Jr. High to Adult
The title and theme of this tape are taken from a statement close to the end, "When the AIDS virus is in your body there is no second chance!" The tape emphasizes this message with interviews with grandparents who are taking care of their 6 year old grandson who has AIDS (his parents have died from the disease) and several patients who are in various stages of the "opportunistic diseases" which develop in a person who has AIDS. It amplifies the message by statements from a registered nurse and several physicians who work with AIDS patients. One of the patients interviewed has come to know Christ as his Savior, and says
that he would rather have AIDS and know Christ than to be well and not know Christ. He also says that it is hard knowing that he will never realize any of his life's dreams, and that he will die a painful death. Therefore, even though he is a Christian, he cries a lot. The warnings against conduct which may produce AIDS, and other STDs are strong and
convincing. |

"NOVA: THE MIRACLE OF LIFE" - 60 min - Adult
This is a presentation of excellent scientific pictures of the process of conception, growth in the womb, and birth. Some parts of this process are presented for the first time on film, according to the text. However, the entire presentation is from the viewpoint of the evolutionist. Probably the chief value of this film to those who are pro-life is to show that even the humanistic scientists recognize that the "fetus" is amazingly alive, with characteristics of a human being. Due to its evolutionist perspective, this film must be used with caution. |

"ONE IN A MILLION" - 18 min - Jr. High to Adult
Designed as a discussion starter,
this emotionally charged video sets the stage for a good dialogue on the value of all human life. The video is a dramatization of a boy, hindered by a slight physical handicap, who saves the life of a neighbor's baby only to discover that he was the victim of an abortion and so was never born. A brief study guide is included with the video. |

"OPERATION RESCUE" - 30 min - Adult
A look at this movement from a positive perspective, this film shows the leadership and philosophy behind the rescue movement. It also contains footage of actual rescues taking place. |
"PARENTS RIGHTS DENIED" - 20 min - Jr. High to Adult
This video takes a good look at the
widely accepted statement that the decision to have an abortion is a right of a minor granted by the so called "constitutional right to privacy" . It contains the testimonies of legislators, medical personnel, young women who had abortions as teens, and the parents of minor daughters. It presents some of the consequences in the lives of
women who have had abortions as minors without parental consent and also in the lives of members of their families. It also gives valuable evidence as to the results of parental involvement legislation where it has been tried. |
"PREVIEW OF A BIRTH" - 15 min - Jr. High to Adult
This is a beautiful presentation of the growth of a baby from conception through birth. In comparison with "Nova: The Miracle of Life" (see above) it seems to be medically accurate, but presented from the pro-life position. |
"SEX, LIES, AND THE TRUTH" - 30 min - Jr. High to Adult
This video features interviews with "typical" teens who give their various ideas about such things as: abstinence (several didn't even know what
the word meant), "safe sex", pre-marital sex and its consequences, etc. It also features comments from celebrities such as Rick Cameron and Chelsea Noble, Oral Herscheiser, Anthony Munoz, Dave Dravecky, Kevin Johnson, Mark Osborn, Tim Burke, and others who take the position that pre-marital abstinence and marital fidelity are the best of sex and the
best way of life itself. By contrast, the video has statements from some who have experienced first-hand the results of promiscuity like: a grandmother whose six year old grandson is dying of AIDS following the death of his mother and father from the same disease, and "Dennis" a man who is dying with AIDS who has become saved during his illness. He
makes it clear that the fact that he is never going to realize his life's dreams, but die a horrible death, makes him cry often.
There is a good emphasis upon "secondary virginity", offering hope to those who have already engaged in sex before marriage, and a strong emphasis upon God's love for sinners. |

"TEENS AND SEX" (MOLLY KELLY) - 30 min - Jr. High to Adult
This video was filmed during a live
presentation by Molly Kelly, who speaks to approximately 30,000 teens each year. She is the mother of six sons and two daughters, and comes out of a generation in which she, "knew not one unmarried pregnant teen". Together she and her audience discuss reasons why things have changed so much since then. The conclusion is that sex is now made prominent, and our literature, TV programs, radio programs etc. are designed to arouse sexual desire which results in promiscuity. Mrs. Kelly makes it very clear that she considers teens to be responsible, thinking people, and deplores the "put-down" contained in the often repeated adult statement, "Teens are going to have sex regardless of what we do, so we must teach them to practice 'safe sex'". The speaker encourages "give and take" with her audience, and gets some very good responses. One question which really puts the teens "on the spot" is, "What is the primary organ of our sexuality?" The first teen to volunteer gives the right answer, "Our mind". Mrs. Kelly makes it clear that her favorite term for responsible sexual conduct is "chastity", which she defines as "Understanding your sexuality and knowing how God wants you to use it!" She urges the teens to "Value your sexuality - it is a precious gift. Give it to a spouse, not a louse!" |

"TEENS AND ABORTION" (MOLLY KELLY) -
30 min - Jr. High to Adult
This video was filmed before a large group of teens - probably a high school assembly. The teens did not seem very interested at the very beginning, but "livened up" as Mrs. Kelly asked questions and interacted with them. They seemed to be pretty well informed, although the closest guess as to how many abortions per year are performed in the USA was seventy-five thousand, and several students thought that abortion was legal only up to 3 months, 4 months, or 5 months. At least one answered correctly. Mrs. Kelly, of course, gave them the correct answers and explained the facts about all the questions. (I counted more than 20 questions in the half hour).
The speaker summarized her position on abortion in three statements which she amplified and illustrated:
1. Abortion kills a human being
2. Abortion is harmful to a woman's body.
3. Abortion is not a loving answer to a woman's cry for help.
She begins her presentation by stating that she has confidence in teens, and concludes by stating her belief that the increase or decrease in abortions in the future depends very much upon teens. This is because she realizes that the first person a pregnant teen confides in and listens to is another teen (or teens). Therefore when teens are informed as to what abortion is and does, they will choose life and help others to do the same. |

"TELL THE TRUTH" - 60 min - Jr. High to Adult
- This powerful video hits the highlights of the Rally for Life '90 in
Washington, D.C., on April 28, 1990. Featuring speakers like President George Bush, Vice President Dan Quayle, Dr. John Wilke, Sheila Walsh, Sandi Patti, and others, this video vividly captures an historic moment in the pro-life movement. (BFLCO also has a video which covers the whole rally and runs about 3 hours.)

"THE AMERICAN HOLOCAUST: ABORTION IN
THE 90'S" - 90 min - Adult
John Ankerberg presents a highly informative historical analysis of the abortion crisis facing America today. The "documentary style" video employs many expert witnesses effectively, including (to name a few) one-time abortionist Bernard Nathanson, former Surgeon General C.
Everett Koop, and Dr. J.C. Wilkie of National Right to Life. Also interviewed are prominent women in the pro-abortion movement, hailing from the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, and feminist camps. The documentary traces the life of the unborn child in the womb and at times uses disturbing photos of aborted infants. In summary, it medically, scientifically, and Scripturally debunks each and every pro-choice argument. |
"THE BRUTAL TRUTH" - 30 min - Sr. High to Adult
Anyone who believes that the violence of the abortion controversy is all on one side must see this video. It shows actual pictures of police in several cities deliberately using force enough on "rescuers" to cause extreme pain, and in some cases to break limbs. It contains the testimonies of men and women who have been brutally treated although they were offering no opposition to police, and tells of court decisions which have unjustly fined and imprisoned pro-life people. |
"THE HIDDEN HOLOCAUST" - 55 min - Sr. High to Adult
This documentary gives a good overview of abortion in America. It includes interviews with leaders on both sides of the debate and an ultrasound showing a 3 month old baby. It also shows still photographs of aborted babies, fetal experimentation and a suction abortion. |

"THE MASSACRE OF INNOCENCE" - 85 min
- Adult
Eric Holmberg is a former abortion advocate who is now active in the pro-life movement. He admits to having his first child "sacrificed to his (and his wife's) personal convenience". Later he became a Christian and (after being led to make "restitution" by helping support a child
whose mother had thought of abortion and decided against it) found complete forgiveness and peace. The major part of this video is spent dealing with what Holmberg calls the spiritual conflict which is at the heart of abortion. We may not agree with all of his theology (i.e. identifying the church with Israel, etc.) but we must certainly agree with his basic premise that Satan and his demons are behind the scourge of abortion. We may not completely agree with his tracing the roots of abortion back to the worship of Baal and Astarte, but this certainly warrants further study. The author believes that the "women's lib" extremists of today are following in the train of worshipers of Ashtoreth-Aphrodite in ancient
times. He points out that there is a strong movement toward lesbian motherhood today, claiming that approximately 500 babies were born to lesbians in San Francisco alone in 1985 and that goddess worship is increasing each day. He believes that the presence of Jezebel in the church at Thyatira (Rev. 2:20) describes the Jezebel of today in churches like those in the "Religious Coalition For Abortion Rights". His message as to what churches and Christians must do today is excellent It recognizes that our weapons are those which II Cor. 10:4 describes and urges us to begin effectively using them. |

"THE RIGHT TO KILL" - 60 min -
Sr.High to Adult
Hosted by William F. Buckley, Jr., "The Right To Kill" explores the euthanasia movement. Included in the film are interviews with physicians practicing euthanasia in Holland, the founder of the Hemlock Society in the U.S., Dr. Jay Adams, and other pro-life leaders. The film concludes
with a look at the hospice movement. While not primarily Christian in orientation, this powerful video contains information from a pro-life perspective that is vital for God's people. |
"ULTRASOUND: A WINDOW TO THE WOMB" - 55 min - Jr. High to Adult
The major part of this film is a presentation of life in the womb viewed by means of ultra-sonography. It is the presentation of Shari Richard, who was refused permission to show this video before the House and Senate sub-committee hearings related to the "Freedom of Choice Act". As background, the video shows views of the committees refusing to see the tape, over the protests of some of its members. This is quite in line with the way these committees have been restricting the pro-life testimony concerning this subject, while giving an open door to the proponents of abortion. The "Window" portion is well done, and narrated
by one who admits that she feels very close to unborn infants since she has made pictures of so many of them. |
"WAIT FOR ME" - 28 min - for parents to watch with their teens
This is a teen drama which presents
truth in a very interesting way. It is the story of Johnny, who at a "typical" teen party meets an "angel" sent as an answer to his morning prayer for "help". With the guidance and help of this angel he "sees through" some of the people at the party - their desires, motivation, questions and needs. Some of them are approaching very close to having sex. One couple in particular are stopped just short of intercourse by their unspoken questions about what may happen and the "appearance" of grand-parents who talk about how they waited and remained pure for each other and how much that has meant to them through their married life. The girl's mother "appears" and confesses to having sex with three men before marriage, and tells how those sex-partners "appeared" to her on her wedding night. The angel shows three doors which hide the "prizes" of pre-marital sex: early unplanned pregnancies, death from AIDS or STDs, and broken
hearts. The drama closes and the two male leads step out of character to make an appeal for sexual purity. The tape closes with an invitation from Psalms 103 and 105. |

"WHO BROKE THE BABY?" - 30 min - Jr.
High to Adult
This is an examination and rebuttal of some common slogans used by the pro-abortionists to influence the public, such as "Every woman has the right to control her own body", "Every child a wanted child", "A woman has the right to choose", and "Safe, legal abortions for all women". The film is introduced by Dr. Jean Gaston, whose three-year old son (who was almost aborted)
asked the title question after viewing pictures of babies dismembered in an abortion. It is narrated by a very personable young lady, Casey Ivey, and thus may have a wide appeal to young people. |

"YOUR CRISIS PREGNANCY" - 25 min - Jr. High to Adult
Especially designed for use with women experiencing a crisis pregnancy, this video presents the story of prenatal life, describes abortion and the emotional backlash of post abortion syndrome. It also includes the testimonies of women who faced a crisis pregnancy and made the right
choice. A brief introduction by Dr. James Dobson opens this video. |
