ARTICLE I: ORGANIZATION AND ARTICLES OF FAITH
Section 1: Name
The name of this organization shall be Baptists for Life of Central
Ohio, Inc.
Section 2: Articles of Faith
The Articles of Faith of Baptists of Life of Central Ohio shall be as
clarified and adopted by the General Association of Regular Baptist
Churches in annual session 1976. These doctrinal declarations shall
govern the policies and practicesof Baptists for Life of Central Ohio.
ARTICLE II: PURPOSES AND SERVICES
Section 1: Purposes
a. Baptists for Life of Central Ohio is organized exclusively for
charitable, religious, educational, and scientific purposes, ncluding,
for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that
qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501(c)3 of the United
States Internal Revenue Law (or the corresponding provision of any
future Internal Revenue Law).
b. The purposes of Baptists for Life of Central Ohio shall be:
1) To promote and maintain the biblical teaching that the unborn child
is a unique, distinct person made in the image of God and endowed with
the right to life;
2) To promote, establish and maintain biblical, caring ministries to
women with crisis pregnancies;
3) To oppose the practice of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia
because these practices represent a rejection of the sanctity of human
life as presented in the Bible.
4) To educate the Church and the public at large about the realities
of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia, and to inform them concerning
valid, available alternatives;
5) To inform the Church and public at large of the legal and
constitutional rights and privileges of citizens to register their
opposition to the practices of abortion, infanticide and euthanasia,
providing nothing in this statement shall be construed to imply
activities which are not in accordance with the provisions of Section
501(c)3 regarding influencing legislation or interfering with a
political campaign for public office;
6) To promote positive, biblical attitudes toward children, the
elderly, the handicapped, etc.;
7) To challenge Christians in the Central Ohio area to per-personal
and direct involvement in the pro-life movement.
Section 2: To attain the purposes of Baptists for Life of Central Ohio
the following services may be offered:
a) Speakers for churches, civic groups, schools, colleges, seminaries,
etc. for educational presentations related to the organizational
purposes
b) Production and distribution of biblically-based materials which
address pro-life and pro-family concerns;
c) Crisis pregnancy counseling, donations of maternity and infant
related items, referrals for adoption, medical care, legal aid,
education and vocational opportunities, parenting and child-birthing
instruction, and housing for women experiencing a crisis pregnancy;
d) Publication of newsletters for education and inspirational
purposes;
e) Any other services, temporary or permanent, deemed necessary to the
stated purposes of the organization by the Executive Board.
ARTICLE III: PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY
Section 1: The services and activities of Baptists for Life of Central
Ohio shall at all times correspond to the principles of Scripture so
as to bring glory and not dishonor to our Lord and His Church.
Section 2: Cooperative activities with other pro-life organizations
shall be by unanimous approval of the Executive Board, who shall be
responsible for the Scriptural appropriateness of such involvement.
Section 3: All services and activities of this organization shall be
conducted with the understanding that the ultimate goal of such is to
evangelize and disciple men and women. Therefore, the centrality of
the local church and its ministry shall be maintained. Membership in
and involvement with Baptists for Life of Central Ohio must not
conflict with one's responsibility to the local church.
Section 4: The services of Baptists for Life of Central Ohio offered
through crisis pregnancy centers and its educational programs shall

not be denied on the basis of race, gender, religion, color, or
national origin.
ARTICLE IV: ORGANIZATIONAL AUTHORITY
Section 1: In order to carry out the purposes of the organization, the
governing body, otherwise known as the Executive Board, as trustees of
the organization, may engage in any and all lawful activities that may
be incidental or reasonably necessary to any of the foregoing
purposes, now and hereafter conferred upon voluntary organizations
under the laws of the state of Ohio, including the power and
authority to buy, sell, own, rent, lease and otherwise deal in real
and personal property of every kind, and to construct, maintain and
operate any improvements thereon.
Section 2: This organization shall never be operated for the purpose
of carrying on a trade or business for profit.
